La Floresta is family owned and operated and is a cozy, congenial retirement community where you will find friendships as warm as the South Texas climate. We have 91 spaces – large enough to offer as many planned activities as you might want to participate in, and small enough to give you that comfortable feeling of “family”. Newcomers are immediately made to feel welcome and involved.

We are centrally located in the middle of the Rio Grande Valley, making easy access to all points of interest. We are only minutes away from South Padre Island, Outlet Mall and Mexico, which noted for its shopping and restaurants (also for cheaper dental work and prescription drugs). Our park is in the country – it’s quiet and relaxing atmosphere is sure to please. if you enjoy golf, or just wanting to learn, you will enjoy our 9 hole, par 3 course. We have organized golf activities five days a week, with open course (no tee times needed) two days a week and every afternoon. Like to take walks? We have 18 acres of wildflowers, song birds, peacocks, and native landscaping of palms, bougainvilleas, and wildflowers.
